United Way Honors State Senator For Continued Support Of Not-For-Profit Organizations
Senator Joseph Robach recognized for his support of a law that helps agencies continue to serve our community
Rochester, NY — Members of United Way of Greater Rochester’s Board of Directors delivered a special resolution yesterday to State Senator Joseph Robach
(R-Greece) in honor of his continued support of local not-for-profit agencies and the work they do to ensure a brighter future for the people of our community.
The honor stems from efforts put fourth by Senator Robach in co-sponsoring the prompt contracting law – a law that ensures that not-for-profit agencies receive timely communications, negotiations and payments for the contracted work they perform on behalf of the state. Senator Robach worked to cultivate a bipartisan effort to ensure unanimous passage of the law in the New York State Senate.
To show their appreciation of Senator Robach’s support, United Way board members passed a formal resolution to honor Senator Robach.
“Senator Robach always does whatever is needed, whenever it is needed, not just for United Way-funded not-for-profits, but for those across the community to ensure that those in need find help and hope,” said Ed Petinella, Chair of the United Way of Greater Rochester Board of Directors.
“I am honored by this recognition,” said Senator Robach. “It’s truly a privilege to be able to advocate for the people of our community and help make a difference in any way I can.”
