Change started with me two years ago...

...when I decided to leave my husband. His temper and anger terrified me. Thanks to the Volunteer Legal Services Program, I was able to finally leave him and start a new life. Now I am well on the road to independence.

Crisis Services

In these challenging times, meeting the basic needs of people in our community and helping them develop skills to reduce their dependence on services is critical. United Way is helping address the immediate needs of people right here in our community by leveraging your donations to the Community Fund. The goal is simple - all individuals and families in our community will have their basic needs met. With your support, United Way is investing in Basic Needs Programs to help people overcome crisis and lay the groundwork for independence, and Homelessness Prevention and Housing Stability Programs for intervention services that help families at risk of foreclosure or eviction stay in their homes.
